Welcome to Greenville Public Schools!

I would like to welcome you to our website and thank you for your interest in Greenville Public Schools. Please feel free to browse our webpage and the numerous links to related websites. These are all designed to give you a broad overview of our school district.

Here at Greenville Public Schools, we take our responsibility for student learning very seriously. We have dedicated staff who are exceptional educators and support staff. We take pride in being a collaborative educational community that has set a high standard for both students and staff.

Greenville Public Schools has a reputation as an outstanding school district. We are proud that we have a Blue Ribbon School Award winner at Lincoln Heights Elementary and Cedar Crest Elementary has received the Golden Apple School Award. Our high school has been named an Exemplary High School, our athletic department has received the Exemplary Athletic Program Award, and our K-12 Music Department has recently been awarded the Michigan’s Best Award by the Michigan Association of School Boards.

Our district has implemented the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) model which enables professional staff to work collaboratively in responding to the individual learning needs of all children.  Based upon formative assessments of learning, teaching teams design and implement instructional interventions to assure success and challenge for all Greenville children.

The Greenville Board of Education is comprised of seven highly dedicated and capable individuals who bring a broad range of experience to the table. These seven people have a combined total of 96 years of service to this school district! Annually, the Board of Education and the administration work together to develop a vision and priorities (goals) which serves as a roadmap for student achievement. Download a copy of the 2009-2010 board priorities below!

If, after looking at this overview of our district, you still have questions, please feel free to contact us. We would love to give you a tour of our district. We have beautiful updated facilities, including a Fine Arts Performance Center and state-of-the-art technology throughout the district. We also have a first class athletic complex and facilities. We truly believe GPS is a Great Place for Students!

If I can be of any assistance, please contact me at hainesp@greenville.k12.mi.us or (616) 754-3686.
